Learn to treasure what we have.

Gosh, I spent hours searching for nice blogskin in the end, is LIKE THIS. eeeeeeek! It looks fine but not the ideal one yet! aarrgghh... pek chek sia..... Anyone good at making blogskin?? I don't want the previous blogskin because i think the font is too small.. If I were to enlarge the font it will be so goddamn ugly. sigh.

Well, I am gonna blog about something of great importance to us. Since teenagers nowadays are so selfish and thoughtless, we should really take a close look at what's happening around us these days.. Look at THEM, then look at YOURSELF.. think.

This picture shows the damage of recent Sichuan's earthquake in China. Cities closed to the epicenter are almost flattened.

Millions of people lost their beloved ones, their homes, their belongings. Yetthere is no looting, no complaints, just people helping each other.

He is a homeless in Nanjing, 1000 miles from the disaster area. He saw the news and went to donate 5 Yuan in the morning. He said people in the disaster area were worse off than him because their lives were threatened. He came back in the afternoon, donated another 100 Yuan ($14). He explained that all he had were pennies and dimes, and he didn’t want to waste volunteer workers’ time to count them, so he went to the bank to change everything he had into one big bill. This is from a man who doesn’t have money to buy food for himself.

A 5 year old boy was rescued after being buried under rubbles for 24 hours. His left hand was broken, but he smiled and saluted to his rescuers. His smile made everybody cry.

Zhang Jiwang(张吉万), 11, carrying his sister Zhang Han(张韩), 3,walked 12 hours straight to flee the disaster center.

This baby, after being buried over 24 hours, miraculously, was rescued unscratched. He is about 3-4 months old, and his mother kneeled down, pinned her head and hands on the ground to shielded him from the falling concrete, and milked him. His mother did not make it out. A rescue worker found his mom’s cell phone in his wrapper. It had a text message left by his mother:

“Dear child, if you survive, please remember, Mom loves you forever…”

Yuan Wentin(袁文婷), 26, first grade teacher. When the earthquake struck, she rushed to carry her stunned students from classroom on the 3rd floor to the ground. She managed to pull out most of her students, but the building collapsed when she was trying to pull out the last few. At the last moment of her life, she was trying to use her body to shield the students from falling concrete.

Many teachers did the same thing.

This high school student was rescued from the collapsed building. She lost both legs, and her both hands are broken. The rescue workers were all in tears when they saw this. She smiled to them:

“Be Brave!”

Song Xinying (宋馨懿), 3, pulled out from rubble after being buried for 2 days. She was in critical condition and lost a leg, but survived. Her parents hold each other’s hands and shoulders face to face to make an arch to shield her from the falling building. Her parents did not make it out.

These are pictures of what have happened in Myammar due to the disastrous storm. Millions died..

Millions lost their homes, lost their families and friends, and lost their lives. Many are still unable to get help, they are always starving.. The saddest part is, deep in them left a broken bleeding heart that can never be mended. Those who survived are now alone. A night has caused them to lose everything, even their closest family.. Those nightmares will just haunt them for a life time. These pain exerted on them are simply excruciating.. It's pain that we can never imagine...

My poor mum cried almost whenever she watched the news. And she would be like saying,

“唉,你们是不会了解父母失去孩子的心情,有如肝肠寸断, 等到有一天你成为母亲之后你就会了解的。。。” "sigh, you will never understand how painful parents feel when they lose their children, wait till one day you become a mother then you will understand.."

Well, I think it's quite true.. I can't really feel as painful as how parents would feel.. though I am sure I would feel very very sad if I ever lose my family members.. I wonder what would happen to me.... Would I break down and wither? There was once I thought of my parents leaving me, I was so afraid that I couldn't help but cry.. even till today.. I seriously can't imagine that, knowing that it's something which I have to face one day.

People, millions are suffering now. Yet we are simply so ignorant about what's going on.. We spend money like water (get the idea from Cyn's blog -.-), we waste food and other resources like they are unlimited. Most importantly, we do not treasure what we have at all, especially our families and friends.

They are the ones who truly care for you, especially your family. Thats the only time when I feel is where true love belongs. Those "love" that most of you called, especially to your boyfriends or girlfriends, are so so so so hypocritical and untrue (for most cases, trust me).

Come on, how can you ever love your boyfriend or girlfriend when you don't even love your family? It's totally agaisnt nature. People, if you have a girlfriend or boyfriend, or you intend to have one, and he or she dislikes their parents, scold them or curse them, please don't trust them if they ever confess they love you. They are just trying to sweettalk and hunt you like a prey.

Back to the real topic,

If we're not going to cherish what you have, we will regret one day once we lose it..
So stop complaining about having not enough money for SUSHI meals or whatever expensive stuff when others don't even have food to eat.

Stop complaining that your mums or dads are naggy. Yes they may be naggy. But at least they care for you. Wait till you have no one who cares for you, you will feel a different way towards them.

Stop complaining that you have a home but you don't want to go home because you dislike home. You're simply thoughtless and inconsiderate and selfish. Seriously, you don't worth to have a home.

There is really a lot of things we have to ponder over..
We are so blessed, aren't we?

Yup. May be what you "said" is right. People who don't love their family members don't know how to love their beloved. :)
